At 09:45, we meet at the parking lot at ”Guns Mode” in Skummeslövsstrand. There, we gather before heading to our cozy barn where we start the day with a delicious breakfast of local delicacies. Afterward, we head out to the pasture to fetch our horses for the day. We work together to get the horses ready, feeling a few butterflies in our stomachs as we mount and head toward the beach.

We reach the sand in just a few minutes and begin at a relaxed pace toward Båstad to make sure both horse and rider are in sync, before turning around and seeing Sweden’s longest beach stretch out before us. We then ride along the beach, through the water, and over the sand dunes, until our stomachs start rumbling and it’s time for a lunch break. And what a lunch it is! We eat until our bellies are full, making it easy to follow the instruction to sit deep in the saddle as we continue to tölta on.

But the adventure doesn’t end here! On the way back, we pass beautiful beach forests, ride the ”escape from Denmark” (trust us, you won’t want to miss this), and take up the whole beach width before finishing with one last long gallop that you’ll never forget.

Once back in the stable, we’re wet but happy, and after the horses are let out to the pasture, we gather around for a fantastic after-ride snack. We chat about the day, laugh, and make sure all the memories slowly but surely settle in our hearts. Around 5-6 PM, we’ll try to snag a spot for next year’s dream rides and then begin our journey home.
