Day 1
When you arrive at the farm in Mysinge on Öland at 3 PM, we start with a shared fika before we grab the halters and meet our very own horses. We then have some time to get to know our horses before we saddle up for our first ride. Dinner is served outdoors in the green surroundings, after which we saddle up again and ride back home in the sunset.

Day 2
On the second day, up with the rooster, a delicious breakfast is laid out to get us ready for a full day ride to the beach. We pack our swimwear in the chef’s car along with the luxurious lunch, which awaits us by the shore. After spending a whole morning on horseback, we take a well-deserved break with food and a swim for anyone who’s up for it. Once we’re full and happy, we hop back into the saddle, our now slightly sore bottoms and all, letting the horses cool their hooves, drink, and splash around before we continue our ride.

We won’t be home until later in the evening, but once the horses are out in the field, the masseuses will be ready to take care of our stiff muscles. Then, a luxurious dinner with a cheese platter is served, and we sit together late into the night, chatting about horses, enjoying good drinks, and simply relaxing.

Day 3
The last day begins with a relaxing yoga session before breakfast, and then we head out for the final time to fetch the horses from the pasture. Today’s concluding ride takes us across Öland’s mysterious Alvar, where we tölt between juniper bushes, inhale the scent of all the herbs from the land, and climb over stone walls to our lunch spot. On the way back, we enjoy one final exhilarating gallop before we ride back to the farm and say our goodbyes to all the horses.

We finish with a shared fika to keep us satisfied on the way home, exchange addresses, and head back around 3:00 PM, happy but tired after three wonderful days at Kvarnbacka in Mysinge.
