At 12 o’clock on Tuesday, we serve a lovely check-in brunch at our farm in Mysinge, Öland. We start by greeting everyone before it’s time to send the parents home, meet our own horses for the week, and head out for a first cozy ride where we make sure that all the horses and riders are a perfect match

The next morning, we’re up and running, and for the rest of the week, we tölt along on our magical horses for 4-6 hours each day. One day, we pack a lunch and take a full-day ride to the sea, where we ride the horses into the water to let them drink and cool down. Another day, we gallop across the Alvar, hearing exciting stories about sacrificial stones and King Mysingehög. And one evening, we roll up our sleeping bags behind the saddles and spend the night under the starry sky on the Alvar. In other words, few rider dreams remain unfulfilled!

In the evenings, we have various activities such as Kvarnbackaball, a pentathlon, a trip to “Playa del Mysinge,” and of course, an unforgettable sunset picnic in the foal meadow. On the farm, we not only have horses but also a beautiful garden, pigs that loves fallen fruit from the apple orchard, cuddly rabbits, a cat castle filled with the world’s cutest kittens, and chickens that offer an egg hunt every morning before breakfast. We also have ”Kvarnboden”, a shop for anyone who, in addition to the homemade meals and treats provided during the day, wants to buy something extra tasty to eat or drink.

On Saturday, we prepare everything on the farm, and at noon, the children treat all the eagerly awaiting parents to an unforgettable performance before guiding them around the farm’s animals. We offer grilled sausages and drinks for everyone, so the children have plenty of time to exchange addresses and say a proper goodbye before the final group photo is taken, with the children in their lovely Kvarnbacka t-shirts.

Every day is, in other words, packed with horses, riding, fun, and laughter, as Kvarnbacka’s riding camp truly offers something extra!
