What is the maximum weight and height for riding at Kvarnbacka?
The maximum weight is generally 100 kg, but we have no specific height limit. If you weigh more than 90 kg and are taller than 185 cm, please mention this when booking so we can select a suitable horse for you.
How early should I arrive before a ride or camp?
15 minutes before your ride starts.
What is the minimum age requirement?
From 6 years
Do I need to be an expert rider to ride with you?
In general, no prior experience is required to ride with us. If you’re unsure, feel free to call us before making a booking.
What should I wear when riding?
Above all: Dress according to the weather! Otherwise, wear comfortable, soft clothes and sturdy shoes with a small heel.
Can I borrow a helmet and safety vest?
Yes, they are available to borrow on site.
What should I pack for a riding camp?
Packing list
- Bedding (sheets, pillowcase, duvet cover), sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping mat
- Duvet (if you don’t want to sleep in the sleeping bag)
- Riding gloves, riding clothes, riding helmet, riding boots (helmets are available to borrow)
- Rain clothes
- Regular clothes, warm sweater or jacket
- Towel, swimwear, toiletries
- Sun screen
- A small bag to pack your swimwear in
Do you ride even if it rains?
Yes, so far we have never canceled a ride due to weather, so dress according to the weather.
How many people ride at the same time?
It varies depending on the tour or camp, but from 1 to 24 people
What happens if an accident occurs? Do you have insurance?
All riding is at your own risk
Booking and payments
How do I book and pay?
Riding camps
After booking, you will receive an invoice for the booking fee of 1,995 SEK per person. The remaining balance will be invoiced via email and must be paid no later than 30 days before the experience starts. The booking fee is non-refundable.
Tour riding
Payment is made on-site, either via Swish or in cash.
The dram ride
After booking, an invoice will be sent. Part of the invoice is a non-refundable booking fee.
Can I cancel or reschedule my experience?
Riding camps & the dream ride
Can be canceled up to 30 days before the experience starts. If you become ill, cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before with a doctor’s note. In case of cancellation, the full amount will be refunded minus the booking fee.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.

Can I use my wellness allowance for riding?
Yes, you can use your wellness allowance for riding at Kvarnbacka, as long as it follows the guidelines set by your employer. Since 2018, riding is considered a wellness activity. The general rule is that most exercise and wellness activities are considered tax-free employee benefits. Riding is also included, such as riding lessons with an instructor or trail riding.
